About the role

The People & Culture Assistant supports daily HR operations to ensure a positive employee experience and smooth administrative processes, aligning with the company’s people strategy and values.

Key responsibilities

  • Coordinate the full recruitment cycle, from job postings to interview scheduling and offer letters.
  • Manage the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, contract administration, and off‑boarding formalities.
  • Maintain accurate employee records in the HRIS and draft job descriptions.
  • Track daily attendance and prepare variable payroll elements such as overtime, leaves, and bonuses.
  • Organise training sessions and liaise with HRDC & MQA for refunds and registrations.
  • Assist in planning company events, team‑building activities, and staff‑welfare initiatives.
  • Support disciplinary matters, employee grievances, and ensure compliance with local labour legislation.

Required profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or a related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in an HR generalist or administrative role.
  • Strong organisational, interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Proactive, people‑oriented mindset with genuine interest in workplace culture.
  • Good knowledge of Mauritian employment legislation and HR best practices.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
