About the role
The People & Culture Assistant supports daily HR operations to ensure a positive employee experience and smooth administrative processes, aligning with the company’s people strategy and values.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate the full recruitment cycle, from job postings to interview scheduling and offer letters.
- Manage the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, contract administration, and off‑boarding formalities.
- Maintain accurate employee records in the HRIS and draft job descriptions.
- Track daily attendance and prepare variable payroll elements such as overtime, leaves, and bonuses.
- Organise training sessions and liaise with HRDC & MQA for refunds and registrations.
- Assist in planning company events, team‑building activities, and staff‑welfare initiatives.
- Support disciplinary matters, employee grievances, and ensure compliance with local labour legislation.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in an HR generalist or administrative role.
- Strong organisational, interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Proactive, people‑oriented mindset with genuine interest in workplace culture.
- Good knowledge of Mauritian employment legislation and HR best practices.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
