Procurement Officer

About the role

Transinvest Construction is looking for a Procurement Officer in Mauritius, reporting to the Procurement Manager. The role supports the successful delivery of construction projects by ensuring the timely, cost-effective and compliant procurement of materials, products and services. It combines operational purchasing, supplier management, negotiation and strategic sourcing within the company's responsible, performance-driven procurement strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse project and site requirements and anticipate purchasing needs
• Organise and lead Procurement Kick-Off Meetings with site teams
• Manage the full procure-to-pay cycle in line with internal procedures, handling both spot purchases and framework agreements
• Ensure timely delivery of materials and services to construction sites
• Identify, evaluate and onboard local and international suppliers, and launch RFQs, tenders and competitive bidding processes
• Negotiate commercially and contractually to secure best value, and take part in supplier performance evaluation
• Maintain strong, ethical and sustainable supplier relationships
• Prepare and formalise purchase orders and contracts, ensuring compliance with technical, financial, legal and HSE requirements
• Monitor contractual commitments, delivery schedules and risks, and escalate issues with proposed mitigation actions
