Project Management Officer – Tax Team

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Project Management Officer (PMO) to support our tax compliance team. In this role you will help develop project plans, define scope, and create schedules to ensure client and business priorities are met.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor tax compliance planning, deadlines, and project progress for large clients.
• Maintain effective communication internally and across Deloitte’s international network for inter‑firm assignments.
• Assist in resource allocation and capacity planning by coordinating resource availability across projects.
• Support managers in identifying, assessing, and mitigating project risks; escalate issues and propose solutions.
• Generate project status reports, executive dashboards, and budgeting updates.
• Facilitate regular project meetings and coordinate among project teams.
• Monitor updates to internal/client databases and data‑visualisation tools (Power BI).
• Track key performance indicators and provide status updates on processes such as engagement letters, KYC collection, budget monitoring, invoicing, etc.
• Help prepare and coordinate RFPs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or university degree in administrative support, project management, or a related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in a similar PMO or project coordination role.
• Strong organisational abilities with capacity to manage priorities and deadlines.
• Team‑oriented mindset while being able to work autonomously.
• Curiosity and willingness to work hands‑on in a tax environment.
• Client‑focused with excellent interpersonal skills and a professional approach.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Experience with Power BI for data visualisation.
• Familiarity with Jira for task tracking.
• Fluency in English; German is a plus.
