Quality Assurance Automation Lead

About the role

As a Quality Assurance Automation Lead, you will design, develop, and execute comprehensive test strategies to ensure high‑quality software delivery. You will collaborate with developers, project managers, and business analysts to embed testing best practices throughout the project lifecycle and drive client satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Define, document, and maintain test strategy, plans, and approaches for projects and releases.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites for web applications and APIs.
• Drive testing activities from requirements through deployment, including functional, regression, integration, smoke, and end‑to‑end testing.
• Identify, log, track, and verify defects, communicating quality risks clearly.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for fast, reliable delivery.
• Contribute to test estimation, risk assessment, and release readiness decisions.
• Review requirements and technical designs to spot gaps, ambiguities, and testability concerns early.
• Support performance, security, and other non‑functional testing as needed.
• Champion QA best practices, automation, and continuous improvement.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to team members on testing standards and automation.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading QA automation efforts in an Agile environment.
• Strong ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams and manage client relationships.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with a focus on quality.
• Experience mentoring and developing high‑performing testing teams.

Required skills

• Test automation frameworks: Playwright, Cypress, Selenium or similar.
• Programming/Scripting: TypeScript, JavaScript, Python, Java, C#.
• API testing tools: Postman, REST Assured.
• Test management tools: Azure DevOps, Jira.
• CI/CD pipelines: Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins.
• Version control: Git, GitHub/Azure DevOps Repos.
• Basic SQL for test data validation.
• Web technologies: HTML, CSS, DOM.
