Security Agent

About the role

MEDINE GROUP is looking for a Security Agent to join its Support Services team (Security & Vigilance). The agent monitors assigned areas for suspicious, unauthorised or illegal activity and helps keep the premises a safe space for colleagues, clients and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out frequent security inspections and patrols, remaining vigilant for anything unusual or threatening
• Detect and prevent illegal entries into the assigned area or compound
• Perform crime prevention surveys and recognise dangerous situations, responding safely and effectively
• Respond immediately to emergencies, calling police, firefighters or ambulance when needed, and perform first aid if required
• Report irregularities, theft, property damage and other incidents to the Security Supervisor or Manager, and submit daily surveillance reports
• Warn students and employees about rule violations, recommend preventive measures and support the development of occupational risk and resilience policies
• Help ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards

Required profile

• At least 2 years of proven experience in a security environment is desirable
• SC holder or any other equivalent qualification
• Valid driving licence
• First aid and self-defence training is desirable

Required skills

• Knowledge of legal guidelines for area security and public safety
• Excellent surveillance and observation skills
• Familiarity with report writing
• Ability to patrol or guard under direct supervision and to act calmly in emergencies
• Ability to follow and enforce safety codes and procedures, and to provide good customer service
