Senior Client Accountant

About the role

Apex Group, a fund administration and middle office solutions provider founded in Bermuda in 2003, is hiring a Senior Client Accountant. The role covers day-to-day financial reporting for a portfolio of clients, including preparation and review of financial statements and management accounts, and liaison with auditors, regulators and the client services team.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial statements and annual reports of companies in line with IFRS, the Companies Act and other relevant GAAP.
• Prepare and review management accounts (monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, annual and ad hoc) and liaise with the client services team and administrators in Ireland so results are released on time.
• Provide day-to-day financial reporting services to a portfolio of clients, ensuring compliance with internal policies and procedures.
• Liaise with auditors and regulatory authorities on accounting-related work, and keep clients informed about audits and accounting matters.
• Maintain accounting records systematically on file.
• Manage and take responsibility for a portfolio of entities, assist with ad hoc assignments and report to seniors within the required timeframe.

Required profile

• Degree in accounting and/or finance, and/or partly or fully qualified ACCA.
• 2-5 years of relevant experience, preferably in accountancy with knowledge of IFRS.
• Analytical, meticulous and detail-oriented, able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
• Good time-management, organisational and interpersonal communication skills, quick learner and eager to take on new tasks.
