Senior Cost Controller

About the role

The Senior Cost Controller will lead daily cost‑control activities, revenue verification and inventory reconciliation across multiple business units. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will ensure accurate financial reporting, strengthen internal controls and support department heads in applying cost‑control standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare daily revenue reports from night‑audit data and compare them to budgeted figures.
• Analyse revenue variances, identify irregularities and recommend procedural improvements.
• Produce statistics and financial data for trend analysis, cost monitoring and budget follow‑up.
• Monitor purchase prices against market rates and quality standards.
• Review and support purchase, receipt, payment and sales control procedures.
• Organise, supervise and reconcile monthly inventories for relevant departments.
• Approve and follow up physical stock‑taking to ensure accuracy and accountability.
• Conduct regular inspections of storerooms, cold rooms, outlets, bars and boutiques.
• Track slow‑moving stock, equipment losses, fixed‑asset inventories and asset tagging.
• Perform spot checks, report variances to the Financial Controller and assist with corrective actions.
• Maintain communication with Heads of Department to support effective cost control.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, Hospitality Management or a related field.
• Proven experience in cost control, inventory management or finance operations, preferably in hospitality.
• Strong analytical ability to detect variances and recommend corrective measures.
• Good knowledge of stock control, purchasing procedures, revenue verification and inventory reconciliation.
• Organised, detail‑oriented and capable of effective follow‑up with operational teams.
• Excellent communication skills, integrity and a collaborative mindset.
