Senior Fund Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Fund Accountant to join Apex Group’s global fund administration team. The role will be responsible for delivering high‑quality accounting services to our fund clients while supporting the onboarding of new NAV operating offices.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a high standard of delivery to clients and adhere to Apex service policies.
• Train, appraise, motivate and mentor junior staff.
• Act as the primary day‑to‑day contact with brokers, custodians and clients for portfolio funds.
• Perform cash and portfolio reconciliations to banks and brokers.
• Prepare working files and calculate NAV for funds.
• Update the fund accounting system and use accounting software for transaction recording.
• Ensure trade confirmations with brokers and process investor transactions (subscriptions, redemptions, transfers).
• Complete ad‑hoc projects, report issues promptly, and drive efficiency initiatives.
• Prepare and review financial statements, management accounts and statutory returns.
• Liaise with auditors for statutory audits and ensure compliance with AML/CFT regulations.
• Organise and attend board meetings, process invoices and bank transfers, and manage settlements with banks.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience in fund accounting or related finance functions.
• Strong team‑player attitude with the ability to lead and motivate junior staff.
• Proactive approach to problem‑solving and efficiency improvement.
• Commitment to internal control procedures and timely reporting.
• Understanding of AML/CFT regulations and investor onboarding processes.
