Senior Fund Accountant

About the role

Apex Group is seeking an experienced Senior Fund Accountant to manage daily, weekly and monthly NAV calculations for hedge fund clients, ensure accurate reconciliations and support audit processes.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare NAVs for hedge fund clients on a daily/weekly/monthly basis.
• Perform cash, position and market value reconciliations, resolve breaks and notify clients or CSMs.
• Review portfolio pricing, corporate actions and ensure correct booking in the accounting system.
• Reconcile dividends and interest with broker reports and accrue/amortise non‑security fees.
• Process non‑automated transactions, including OTC derivatives and related cash movements.
• Communicate NAV estimates and query resolutions to clients and handle ad‑hoc client requests.
• Book capital activities, support audit preparation and track audit issues to closure.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders such as pricing, reporting, investor services, auditors and client service managers.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of accounting experience, preferably in fund accounting.
• ACCA qualified, partially qualified or equivalent professional qualification.
• Strong time‑management and organisational skills with ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Detail‑oriented, accurate and willing to learn new tasks.
• Team player with good interpersonal communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with fund accounting software (any platform).
