Senior Pension Administrator

About the role

The Senior Pension Administrator delivers accurate, timely and high-quality pension administration services in line with client requirements, regulatory obligations and established procedures. The role covers complex pension requests, oversees the day-to-day workflow of an assigned cluster, maintains quality through review and control, supports team members and acts as a key point of contact for operational queries and escalations.

Key responsibilities

• Process pension requests, due diligence checks, changes to client and member details, LOAs, and payments such as PCLS, FAD and capped drawdown
• Handle fund surrenders, transfer-outs and death-related cases, escalating complex cases when needed
• Manage the cluster's workflow and workload, tracking outstanding work, backlogs and urgent cases
• Promote a Right First Time approach, monitor quality trends and support investigations into errors and escalations
• Support team members with technical and procedural queries, encourage knowledge sharing and act as a deputy to the Team Leader
• Liaise with third parties, members and IFAs, investigate complaints and handle escalations promptly
• Support the Team Leader and help prepare operational reports on productivity, quality, backlog and KPIs

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree
• 3-5 years of experience in administration, ideally in pension administration
• Experience reviewing work, supporting colleagues, managing workloads or coaching is an advantage
• Good understanding of pension administration processes, payments and member transactions
• Experience with KPIs and quality standards; pension back-office experience is an advantage
