Senior Receptionist - Front Office

About the role

RIU Mauritius, which hosts the island's largest hotel cluster on the Le Morne peninsula, is hiring a Senior Receptionist for its Front Office department. The role sits at the heart of guest experience, overseeing daily reception operations and supporting the reception team with seamless, luxury service.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily reception activities, including guest check-ins, check-outs and handling inquiries.
• Deliver personalized, professional and efficient service to all guests.
• Assist in training and mentoring junior receptionists.
• Handle escalated inquiries and complaints promptly.
• Liaise with housekeeping, reservations and other departments.
• Maintain accurate records of reservations, guest preferences and billing.
• Monitor adherence to RIU's guest interaction, presentation and communication protocols.

Required profile

• Proven receptionist experience in a five-star hotel or luxury resort.
• Fluency in English and French; knowledge of additional languages is an advantage.
• Ability to work shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Team leadership and problem-solving skills, calm under pressure.

Required skills

• Familiarity with hotel management software such as Opera or Fidelio.
• Knowledge of front office processes.
