Team Lead – Audit Outsourcing

About the role

As a Team Lead in Audit Outsourcing at BDO, you will oversee the delivery of audit engagements for private equity funds and Luxembourg commercial companies. You will ensure high‑quality audit work, maintain compliance with legislation and technical standards, and foster strong client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Support audits of private equity funds and Luxembourg commercial entities.
• Manage daily progress of audit processes and ensure timely completion.
• Supervise multiple concurrent engagements, directing preparation of reports, accounts, and financial statements.
• Lead and coach junior team members, delegating tasks and maintaining clear communication with audit managers.
• Maintain client relationships to create a healthy working environment.
• Ensure compliance with GDPR, Data Protection Act, and all Risk & Compliance procedures.
• Update project, SLA, and KPI reports regularly.

Required profile

• Minimum diploma in Accounting or equivalent.
• Partly ACCA qualified.
• 2‑3 years of external audit experience, including supervising audit teams.
• Experience in fund audits and Luxembourg GAAP.

Required skills

• Knowledge and application of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
• Understanding of International Standards of Auditing (ISA).
• Familiarity with Luxembourg GAAP (LUX GAAP) and other local accounting standards (e.g., CAS).
• Hands‑on experience with fund audits and consolidation of commercial companies.
