Accountant – Fund Accounting

About the role

As an Accountant in Fund Accounting you will own a portfolio of clients, delivering high‑quality accounting and financial reporting services across various client structures. You will prepare financial statements, management accounts and other deliverables while working closely with clients, auditors and colleagues to ensure outstanding outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial statements, management accounts and accounting records in line with relevant standards.
• Review bookkeeping entries and ensure accurate client reporting.
• Perform and review bank, investment and other reconciliations for multiple client entities.
• Prepare and review VAT returns and support a range of accounting activities.
• Build strong client relationships and contribute to an excellent client experience.
• Review work of Junior and Assistant Accountants, providing guidance and technical support.
• Partner with auditors and internal stakeholders to support successful audit completion.
• Contribute to accounting projects that enhance service delivery and operational effectiveness.

Required profile

• Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, ACA) or equivalent experience.
• Experience in accounting, audit, financial services, private equity, real estate or corporate services.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS; exposure to UK GAAP or other frameworks is beneficial.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
