Technology Risk Manager – Digital Transformation

About the role

The Technology Risk Manager will lead the Digital Transformation and Technology Risk function at Absa Bank (Mauritius) Limited. You will ensure that all technology and project initiatives comply with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices, providing an independent view of the control environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage technology and project risk across the bank, aligning digital projects with risk policies and governance frameworks.
• Own risk assessments, reporting, and self‑assessment exercises to demonstrate control effectiveness.
• Draft, enhance, and implement policies, standards, and security frameworks.
• Represent the Digital Transformation function in risk forums at both country and regional levels.
• Serve as the primary contact for all technology audit and assurance activities, ensuring timely closure of observations.
• Oversee vulnerability management for applications and infrastructure, ensuring periodic assessments.

Required profile

• Proven experience in technology risk, project risk, and compliance within a financial institution.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and enterprise risk management frameworks.
• Ability to work independently, provide impartial risk insights, and influence senior stakeholders.
• Excellent communication skills for representing risk matters in cross‑functional forums.
