Trade Product Manager

About the role

Standard Chartered is seeking a Trade Product Manager to lead the Corporate Plan for Trade products across Mauritius and the region. You will drive revenue growth, profitability and market share while ensuring risk is well‑managed and product delivery meets the highest standards.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end delivery of Trade and Working Capital product objectives, aligning with global strategy.
• Collaborate with sales teams, attend client meetings and deliver product training.
• Manage product P&L, pricing frameworks, asset‑liability considerations and risk‑weighted assets.
• Lead market research, competitor analysis and customer segmentation to inform strategic decisions.
• Develop business cases, operational models and financial controls for sustainable growth.
• Support sales initiatives such as campaigns, RFP responses and complex implementations.

Required profile

• Proven experience in trade finance product management or a related banking function.
• Strong analytical ability to interpret market data, financial statements and KPI trends.
• Excellent understanding of risk governance, pricing and asset‑liability management.
• Ability to work closely with senior stakeholders, including Country Heads and ALCO committees.
