Treasury Accountant

About the role

The Treasury Accountant ensures the accuracy and completeness of treasury transactions, supports day‑to‑day treasury operations, and contributes to timely financial reporting while complying with internal controls and IFRS standards.

Key responsibilities

• Review and process treasury deals in the Treasury Management System (TMS) on a daily basis.
• Prepare, submit and obtain approvals for treasury deals from authorized signatories.
• Monitor treasury transactions from inception through settlement and liaise with banks and financial institutions.
• Perform bank confirmations, reconcile daily bank transactions and produce outstanding transaction reports.
• Maintain static data in the TMS and supervise the Treasury Assistant.
• Record treasury deal accounting entries in the accounting system in accordance with IFRS.
• Reconcile the accounting system, TMS and bank accounts, investigating any differences.
• Prepare monthly intercompany reconciliations, management accounts and support group reporting deadlines.
• Assist with external and internal audits, statutory financial statements and tax filings.
• Support financial analysis, forecasts, budgeting and provide IFRS guidance to the treasury function.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of IFRS accounting standards.
• Experience using a Treasury Management System (TMS) and an accounting system.
• Ability to perform detailed reconciliations and resolve transaction issues.
