Account Manager - Digital Payments

About the role

HPS Group, a global leader in payment and digital transaction management solutions, is looking for an Account Manager to join ICPS's Business Development team. The role manages and grows strategic client relationships, ensures customer satisfaction, drives revenue growth and positions HPS as a long-term trusted partner. The Account Manager is the main point of contact for clients and coordinates internal teams to deliver solutions in line with contracts and SLAs.

Key responsibilities

• Act as primary contact for assigned clients in English-speaking African and Indian Ocean markets, building relationships with C-level executives, regulators, central banks and operational teams.
• Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities, drive contract renewals, extensions and commercial negotiations, and contribute to account plans, sales pipelines and revenue forecasting.
• Own the sales and revenue budget for assigned accounts, monitor and forecast revenue, and follow up on services until purchase orders are secured.
• Handle customer requests, incidents and complaints in line with contractual commitments and SLAs, coordinate with project delivery, support and product teams, and act as escalation point for client issues.
• Monitor service quality, SLAs and regulatory compliance, track performance indicators and advise management on risks, deviations and opportunities.
• Support team members operationally and contribute to collective commercial results.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in customer account management, preferably in the payment industry.
• Solid understanding of account management, sales techniques and administrative/commercial operations.
• Strong customer focus, proactive and results-driven approach.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with HPS / PowerCARD products is a strong advantage.
