Accounts Officer

About the role

LUCRIN (Mauritius) Ltd, a luxury goods company based in Mauritius, is hiring a full-time, on-site Accounts Officer in Saint Pierre. The role covers accounting and administrative duties for a portfolio of companies in the Group, supporting the accounting department by processing invoices, transactions and expenses and keeping the accounting database up to date.

Key responsibilities

• Verify the accuracy, completeness and validity of invoices and other accounting documents
• Enter data accurately into the accounting software
• Research, track and restore accounting or documentation discrepancies
• Handle accounts payable, receivable and general accounts queries
• Reconcile supplier and customer statements
• Reconcile bank statements with the general ledger
• Provide administrative support to other departments
• Carry out other related duties as required

Required profile

• Minimum HSC with accounting as the main subject
• ACCA Level 1 and/or a diploma or degree in Accounting or Finance is an advantage
• Good communication skills in English and French
• Good planning and organising skills, analytical skills and attention to detail
• Team player who can also work independently

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping procedures
• Knowledge of accounting systems and/or ERP; NetSuite (Oracle) is preferable but not required
• MS Office, such as MS Excel
