Agency Manager – Ship Agency Operations

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Agency Manager to lead the Ship Agency department for a leading maritime and logistics company. The role involves overseeing daily ship agency activities, managing a high‑performing team, and ensuring exceptional service delivery while maintaining full regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop Shipping Agents and Shipping Executives.
• Monitor departmental performance, achieve operational targets and KPIs.
• Plan and allocate resources to maximise efficiency.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and implement contingency plans.
• Serve as primary liaison with ship owners, principals, port authorities and other maritime stakeholders.
• Coordinate vessel calls, ensure compliance with local maritime regulations, and oversee cargo operations.
• Analyse market trends, support business growth strategies and strengthen client relationships.
• Oversee billing processes, ensure accuracy of operational documentation and review financial reports.

Required profile

• Proven experience in ship agency or maritime operations management.
• Strong commercial acumen and stakeholder management abilities.
• Excellent leadership and team development skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
