Analyst I, Assurance and Investigations

About the role

Checkout.com is seeking an Analyst I in Assurance and Investigations to join its Compliance team. The role focuses on performing quality‑assurance reviews across AML functions, ensuring that risk controls are applied correctly and that regulatory standards are met.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct quality‑assurance reviews of AML systems, client due‑diligence files, transaction monitoring, sanctions and suspicious activity reporting within defined timeframes.
• Provide oversight of financial‑crime risk controls through sampling, thematic reviews and data analysis.
• Develop and maintain the assurance programme, creating approaches, guidance and test scripts for various assurance areas.
• Identify potential systemic failures, perform thematic reviews and communicate quality gaps to management and business owners.
• Stay up‑to‑date with relevant regulations and internal policy changes.

Required profile

• Demonstrable experience in financial‑crime or AML environments.
• Strong analytical, organisational and technical abilities.
• Proactive, confident communicator capable of presenting data in a clear and actionable format.
• Ability to exercise sound judgement in a fast‑paced setting.
