Assistant - Digital, Data & AI Transformation

About the role

EY Mauritius is hiring an Assistant for its Digital, Data & AI Transformation practice within Technology Consulting. The Digital Business Advisory team supports organisations across the region with customer experience, data, analytics, automation and AI-enabled programmes. This is an early-career opportunity to gain hands-on experience in data, AI and enterprise digital transformation while building consulting, business and technology foundations.

Key responsibilities

• Support teams across client engagements, including research, analysis, documentation and preparation of client deliverables.
• Contribute to analytics and AI initiatives, such as use-case identification, data classification, reporting automation and basic AI tools.
• Assist in requirements gathering, workflow mapping and process optimisation and re-engineering analysis.
• Help develop dashboards, reports and visual outputs using tools such as Databricks, Power BI and Excel.
• Support AI governance and responsible AI, including data quality, controls and ethical considerations.
• Help assess data readiness for AI use cases, covering availability, quality, governance and ownership.
• Prepare client-ready presentations, dashboards, reports and status updates.
• Learn through on-the-job experience, training and mentorship.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree, ideally in technology (Business with MIS, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or related).
• Interest in AI and emerging technologies, and exposure to them (academic or project experience accepted).
• Familiarity with Agile or project delivery environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and clear written and verbal communication.
• Team player able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced consulting environment.

Required skills

• Basic understanding of workflows, APIs, integrations and cloud platforms at a conceptual level.
• Interest or coursework in cloud platforms, data engineering or AI ethics and responsible AI.
