Assistant Front Office Manager

About the role

The Assistant Front Office Manager supports the Front Office team at Constance Belle Mare Plage, a luxury resort in Mauritius. You will help lead daily operations, ensure guest satisfaction, and maintain high standards of service and cleanliness.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise Front Office staff and ensure compliance with operational standards.
• Produce administrative and statistical reports for the Rooms Division Manager.
• Handle guest complaints promptly and ensure resolution within 24 hours.
• Maintain an up‑to‑date guest history system and oversee shift handovers and briefings.
• Manage staff rostering, training, and performance appraisals.
• Conduct weekly spot checks on cashiering and float balances.
• Coordinate with Housekeeping to optimise room availability and support over‑booking policies.
• Promote hotel outlets and services to guests and assist sales activities.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in the hotel industry, preferably in a luxury resort.
• Secondary education plus relevant training or certificates.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and maintain high service standards.

Required skills

• Experience with front office software and guest history systems.
• Knowledge of cash handling and accounting procedures.
• Proficiency in creating schedules, reports, and performance evaluations.
