Assistant Level 1 – Payment Acquiring (6‑Month Contract)

About the role

The Assistant Level 1 – Payment Acquiring provides hands‑on technical support for Point‑of‑Sale (POS) terminals and related hardware. Working closely with field service teams, you will ensure equipment runs efficiently, minimise downtime and deliver a customer‑focused service.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve faults affecting POS terminals, printers, card readers and associated devices.
• Perform repairs, component replacements and routine maintenance to guarantee equipment reliability.
• Execute testing, firmware updates and basic diagnostics to maintain optimal device performance.
• Validate that all equipment is fully tested before returning to service.
• Maintain accurate repair records, service logs and update internal tracking systems.
• Monitor inventory of spare parts, tools and technical equipment.
• Provide technical assistance to field service teams as required.
• Follow safety and equipment‑handling procedures during all repair activities.

Required profile

• Minimum HSC or a certificate in electronics, electrical engineering, computer hardware or a related technical field.
• At least one year of hands‑on experience repairing electronic devices such as POS terminals, mobile devices, ATMs or similar equipment.
• Good IT and computer literacy.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Organised, dependable and detail‑oriented.
