Assistant Manager

About the role

Apex Group is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the Unit Manager in delivering high‑quality operational services across its global fund administration business. You will play a key role in ensuring smooth day‑to‑day operations, risk mitigation, and client satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Unit Manager with all operational aspects of unit deliverables.
• Oversee, review and monitor work performed by unit members, including timesheet management.
• Provide regular operational updates to senior management and identify training needs.
• Apply a risk‑minimisation mindset, proactively identifying and escalating operational risks.
• Conduct customer due diligence (CDD) in line with AML requirements and maintain updated records.
• Attend internal and external client meetings as required.
• Sign off on bank account openings and ensure banking transactions align with company scope.
• Review board packs, shareholder resolutions, and corporate certificates for accuracy.
• Manage incorporation documents, licensing, restructuring, mergers, re‑domiciliation, transfers and winding‑up processes.
• Maintain strong client relationships and ensure service delivery meets high standards and deadlines.
• Lead regular team meetings and conduct performance appraisals.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of operational risk, AML/CDD processes and corporate governance.
• Excellent analytical and organisational abilities.
• Proven experience in managing client relationships and delivering high‑quality service.
• Ability to work collaboratively with senior management and cross‑functional teams.
