Assistant to Senior Consultant - Full Stack .NET Developer

About the role

EY Mauritius is recruiting an Assistant to Senior Consultant for its software development team, which sits within the cyber security services. The team works on complex, fast-paced projects with leading-edge technologies, in agile, collaborative groups, and contributes to a multi-year strategy of designing and delivering new functionality. The role involves technical analysis and design of .NET application projects and supporting the move toward artificial intelligence.

Key responsibilities

• Create services that power the core of the infrastructure, implementing APIs and features for mission-critical products
• Design and build new features and enhancements for systems and tools
• Optimize throughput and scale distributed systems to handle large traffic spikes
• Build scalable public-facing APIs used by products and partners
• Work with engineers, architects and product managers on innovative solutions
• Take part in design and code reviews to ensure best practices and high-quality code
• Develop consistent, well-tested code on the .NET framework and follow code quality and deployment standards

Required profile

• BSc in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent
• At least 2 to 3 years of experience developing with .NET technologies
• Self-starter who can work independently and within a team, with strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills

Required skills

• C#.NET and .NET Core
• Git (ADO Repo)
• MVC, REST API, web services or microservices; SQL (MS SQL Server), Entity Framework
• Object-oriented programming concepts and Agile development
• Code review experience
• Nice to have: AJAX, PHP, MongoDB, Blockchain, HighCharts, Azure DevOps CI/CD
