About the role

BLC Robert & Associates, a leading law firm, is looking for an Associate in Financial Services and Regulatory work. The associate works on investment transactions and regulatory advice under the supervision of partners and senior lawyers, in a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Draft or review legal documentation, including corporate and organisational documents, for investment transactions and regulatory advice.
• Prepare legal opinions on commercial and regulatory matters.
• Assist with administrative tasks related to client matters such as KYC checks, filings and billing.
• Manage own time efficiently, deliver work on time and handle competing priorities while meeting the firm's standards.
• Communicate clearly in plain English and French, both in conversation and in presentations.

Required profile

• LLB degree from a recognised institution.
• At least 2-3 years of experience in corporate or transactional legal work.
• Experience in financial services and regulatory work is a plus.
• Proactive attitude, commitment to teamwork and professional growth, and ability to deliver high-quality work.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of commercial and corporate law, including the Companies Act and the Code Civil.
• Understanding of commercial transactions and industry knowledge.
