Associate Manager - Global Business Sector

About the role

Apex Group, a fund administration and middle office solutions provider founded in Bermuda in 2003, is hiring an Associate Manager for its Global Business Sector unit. The role supports the Unit Manager in all operational aspects of unit deliverables, ensures high-quality service delivery, and oversees the work of unit members.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Unit Manager in managing all unit activities and review and monitor the work of unit members
• Review timesheets and act on spare capacity versus overloaded staff; update senior management regularly on operational progress
• Identify training needs and communicate them to senior management
• Approach daily work with a risk-minimisation mindset, proactively identify operational risks, prescribe mitigation actions and escalate them
• Perform customer due diligence (CDD) in line with the AML Code and keep an updated CDD list for all companies
• Attend client meetings, review minutes, join discussion forums and network groups, and sign off bank account openings within the company's scope of business
• Diligently review board packs, shareholder resolutions, applications for certificates of current/good standing and certificates of incumbency, and handle incorporation, restructuring, merger, re-domiciliation, transfer and winding-up documents
• Manage client relationships and service delivery for allocated clients, and appraise team members against objectives

Required profile

• 10-12 years of experience in the Global Business Sector or an audit firm is an advantage
• Degree from a recognised institution
• Undertaking ACCA or ACA professional studies
• Client-service mindset, goal-oriented, quick learner, able to work under pressure

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel)
• Good written and spoken communication skills
• Ability to multi-task, prioritise and manage time effectively
