Butler Manager

About the role

The Butler Manager leads the Butler team in delivering premium, personalized service to guests in luxury hotel, resort or cruise environments. This role ensures that every guest interaction meets the highest standards of hospitality and that the team operates efficiently and cohesively.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the delivery of exceptional butler services, ensuring all guest orders, requests and enquiries are handled promptly.
• Conduct embarkation inspections of VIP suites and supervise in‑suite arrival procedures to align with brand standards.
• Lead, coach, train and develop the Butler team, fostering a culture of superior service performance.
• Mentor the Senior Butler, preparing them for future managerial responsibilities.
• Monitor and achieve brand‑defined performance targets and KPIs for the Butler team.

Required profile

• Minimum of two years of butler or guest‑facing experience in a luxury hotel, resort or cruise line.
• Professional Butler or luxury service certification (e.g., International Butler Academy) is an advantage.
• Previous shipboard experience is highly preferred.
• Fluent English communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership abilities with experience managing a culturally diverse workforce.

Required skills

• Excellent English language proficiency.
• Additional language skills such as French, Spanish, Italian, Russian, Mandarin, Arabic or Japanese are assets.
