Compliance Manager, MLRO & DPO

About the role

ENSafrica (Mauritius) is seeking a senior professional to lead compliance, anti‑money‑laundering and data‑protection functions. The role combines the responsibilities of Compliance Manager, Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) and Data Protection Officer (DPO) while also supporting the Company Secretary.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain internal compliance manuals, policies, procedures and systems.
• Develop and monitor a compliance plan, conducting regular internal audits and coordinating corrective actions.
• Assess internal disclosures and submit required reports to the Financial Intelligence Unit.
• Oversee compliance with data‑protection legislation, advise on related matters and act as the primary contact for data subjects and supervisory authorities.
• Assist the Company Secretary with board and shareholder meeting administration, statutory registers and regulatory filings.
• Monitor regulatory changes, provide strategic advice to the Board and ensure timely reporting of non‑compliance.
• Maintain accurate records of all compliance activities and communications.

Required profile

• Proven experience in compliance, AML reporting and data‑protection functions, preferably within a financial or professional services environment.
• Strong knowledge of relevant Mauritian and international legislation (AML, GDPR‑like data‑protection laws, corporate governance).
• Ability to interact with senior management and regulatory authorities.
• Excellent analytical, organizational and communication skills.
