Configuration, Asset & Delivery Manager (Service Desk Engineer)

About the role

Orange Business is seeking a Configuration, Asset & Delivery Manager to lead configuration management, change coordination and the full lifecycle of IT assets for its customers. The role ensures assets are tracked, maintained and used efficiently while upholding configuration integrity and traceability.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain configuration management processes, policies and the Configuration Management Database (CMDB).
• Identify, track and report on all configuration items (CIs) and coordinate changes across teams.
• Conduct regular configuration audits to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Oversee acquisition, deployment, tracking and disposal of IT assets, maintaining an up‑to‑date inventory.
• Define and enforce asset management policies, manage vendor contracts and ensure optimal asset utilization.
• Generate reports on configuration and asset status, trends and issues; document all related processes and changes.
• Ensure compliance with relevant standards, regulations and internal governance.
• Facilitate communication between teams, lead Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings and drive issue resolution.
• Identify improvement opportunities and continuously enhance configuration and asset management processes.
• Plan and execute change management strategies, conduct impact analyses and assess readiness.

Required profile

• Proven experience in configuration and asset management within an IT environment.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication abilities.
• Ability to lead cross‑functional teams and manage change processes.
