Data Capture Officer – Claims Processing

About the role
The Data Capture Officer will join Medscheme’s claims administration team, handling the entry and verification of members’ medical claim information. This role is essential to ensure accurate processing of health insurance benefits for over 75,000 lives.
Key responsibilities
- Capture and process members’ claims data while meeting weekly production targets.
- Maintain high accuracy in data entry in line with departmental objectives.
- Review claims history and supporting documents to confirm completeness and correctness.
- Identify missing information and provide appropriate return reasons.
- Uphold confidentiality and comply with ISO procedures, policies, and security guidelines.
- Report any security weaknesses, incidents, or irregularities promptly.
Required profile
- HSC qualification.
- Previous experience in data capture is an advantage.
- Computer literate with good knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, etc.).
- Ability to work quickly, accurately, and with strong attention to detail.
