Demi Chef de Partie

About the role

Constance Prince Maurice, a luxury resort in Mauritius, is seeking a motivated Demi Chef de Partie to support the Chef de Partie in delivering high‑quality dining experiences. You will work in a dynamic kitchen environment, ensuring standards of taste, presentation and safety are consistently met.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Chef de Partie in managing the assigned kitchen section and preparing mise‑en‑place.
• Prepare and cook menu items according to hotel recipes, maintaining quality and presentation.
• Supervise and guide Commis Chefs when required, ensuring proper food storage, labeling and FIFO rotation.
• Follow HACCP, hygiene and safety standards, controlling wastage and supporting stock management.
• Keep the work area clean, organized and report any equipment or quality issues to superiors.

Required profile

• NC3 in Food Production or an equivalent culinary qualification.
• 1–2 years of experience in a similar hotel or restaurant kitchen role.

Required skills

• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards (HACCP).
• Proficiency in food storage, labeling and rotation using FIFO principles.
