Deputy Managing Director – Trust & Fiduciary Business

About the role

We are seeking a highly experienced and commercially driven Deputy Managing Director to join our leadership team in Mauritius. Reporting to the Managing Director and working closely with the Local Board, you will help steer the Trust & Fiduciary business towards sustainable growth, strong client outcomes and robust regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Managing Director in defining and executing the jurisdictional strategy, translating it into clear priorities and plans.
• Partner with the Managing Director to achieve revenue, profitability and fee‑income targets, and drive new business development.
• Oversee client relationships and service delivery, build relationships with key clients and intermediaries, and act as Director on client structures when required.
• Ensure full compliance with regulatory and Group requirements, oversee policies, procedures and control frameworks, and support risk and compliance reporting.
• Manage operational delivery across business lines, promote process improvement, and allocate resources efficiently.
• Provide transparent reporting to the Board, contribute to operational, financial and risk performance reports, and represent the business with clients, regulators and other stakeholders.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in a Trust, Fiduciary or financial services environment.
• Commercially driven with a track record of delivering sustainable growth.
• Strong understanding of regulatory compliance and governance standards.
• Ability to work closely with senior executives, boards and external stakeholders.
