Finance Accounts Executive

About the role

The Finance Accounts Executive will support Apex Group’s finance function by maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and statutory requirements. This role is pivotal in managing day‑to‑day accounting activities and supporting month‑end and year‑end closing processes.

Key responsibilities

• Record and process daily financial transactions, maintain the general ledger, and post journal entries.
• Handle accounts payable: verify supplier invoices, prepare payment schedules, process vendor payments, and reconcile statements.
• Manage accounts receivable: issue customer invoices, monitor outstanding balances, record receipts, and assist with debt collection.
• Perform monthly bank and balance‑sheet reconciliations, monitor cash balances, and investigate variances.
• Assist in preparing monthly management accounts, financial schedules, and reports for management; support budgeting and forecasting.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory filings; prepare audit schedules and documentation.
• Maintain the fixed asset register, record acquisitions, disposals, and depreciation.
