Finance Officer

About the role

EllGeo Re (Mauritius) Limited is looking for a motivated Finance Officer to join its finance team in Phoenix, Mauritius. Reporting directly to the Chief Finance Officer, you will play a key role in supporting the company’s financial reporting, reinsurance accounting, audit processes, and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and analyse periodic financial reports.
• Handle reinsurance accounting entries and related reconciliations.
• Assist with internal and external audits, providing required documentation.
• Perform regular account reconciliations to ensure data accuracy.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements.
• Maintain and improve financial control procedures.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• ACCA qualified, partially qualified, or an equivalent professional qualification.
• Minimum three years of relevant finance or accounting experience.
• Strong numerical, analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• High level of integrity, professionalism and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and French.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong command of Microsoft Office applications.
