Fund Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a Fund Accountant to join our growing fund services team. Working closely with the Fund Accounting Manager or a Senior Fund Accountant, you will provide accounting services to a diverse portfolio of private‑equity, real‑estate and private‑debt funds.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate accounting records in client entity databases such as Viewpoint and Private Capital Suite (Investran).
• Understand and correctly record complex fund transactions in the accounting system.
• Assist in preparing timely financial statements and periodic reports, including capital account statements and net‑asset valuations.
• Support monthly, quarterly and bi‑annual reporting cycles.
• Participate in client entity audits, ensuring deadlines are met.
• Collaborate with colleagues to manage client expectations and accounting deadlines, escalating issues as needed.
• Contribute to the integration of fund services across jurisdictions and with the law firm.

Required profile

• Recently qualified accountant or equivalent experience with up‑to‑date knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS.
• Demonstrable experience in a fund accounting role.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet strict deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Private Capital Suite (Investran) or similar fund accounting systems.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Solid understanding of UK GAAP and IFRS accounting standards.
