Guest Service Team Leader

About the role

Constance Belle Mare Plage, a leading resort in Mauritius, is hiring a Guest Service Team Leader through its recruiter Hosco in Poste de Flacq. The role covers front office operations, guest service and team supervision, with work schedules that can vary due to the nature of the business.

Key responsibilities

• Handle guest requests, check-ins and check-outs quickly and courteously, and deal promptly with guest calls and messages
• Follow up on guest problems until they are satisfied and propose ideas to improve the guest experience
• Carry out room allocations on the system and monitor the Night Audit Report daily
• Ensure the Daily Events list is accurate and that front office stationery and stock are available and re-ordered on time
• Supervise staff, allocate work and set an example of professionalism and attitude
• Meet budget guidelines, adhere to company policies and up-sell to achieve maximum room rates
• Comply with fire, health and safety rules, report equipment defects and stay updated on new company policies

Required profile

• Middle or secondary education plus additional training or certificates in the relevant field
• At least 3 years of experience in the hotel industry, including proven experience in top luxury resorts
• Experience in remote island locations and at least 1 year on a similar position are a plus
• Fluency in English and another language; knowledge of a third language is a plus
