Hotel Manager – 3‑Star Boutique Hotel

About the role

The Hotel Manager will lead Veranda Tamarin, a vibrant 3‑star boutique hotel on Mauritius’ west coast. Reporting to senior management, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences while driving operational efficiency and financial performance for a team of over 100 employees.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage the annual budget, controlling costs and maximising revenue.
• Support the hotel’s long‑term strategy through marketing initiatives, service enhancements and property improvement projects.
• Monitor market trends and competitor activity, recommending and implementing relevant actions.
• Oversee day‑to‑day operations to ensure efficiency, profitability and adherence to brand standards.
• Conduct regular property inspections and supervise preventive‑maintenance programmes.
• Lead, coach and mentor department heads, fostering a high‑performance, guest‑centric culture.
• Facilitate cross‑functional meetings to improve collaboration and operational effectiveness.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, service standards and guest‑satisfaction targets.
• Address guest feedback, concerns and complaints promptly and effectively.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with guests, suppliers and travel‑industry partners.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a senior hotel leadership role with a track record of operational excellence.
• Hands‑on, inspiring leader who motivates and develops teams.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen.
• Passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and decision‑making abilities.
• Fluency in English and French.
