Human Resources Officer

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Human Resources Officer to join our Mauritius team. The role is part of a global HR function and will manage payroll, administer employee benefits, and support employee relations across Mauritius and South Africa.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and process monthly payroll for all ASR offices, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Maintain payroll records, internal files, and HRIS data.
• Administer employee benefits, including medical insurance, pension schemes, risk benefits, and welfare programs.
• Assist employees with benefits enrollment, termination, and claims, and liaise with external providers.
• Maintain accurate employee files, HR databases, and prepare HR documentation for audits.
• Handle employee queries related to payroll, leave, and benefits globally, with a focus on Mauritius and South Africa.
• Lead employee relations matters such as probation extensions, dismissals, and attendance reporting.
• Support HR projects, employee engagement initiatives, and maintain HR handbooks and records.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of payroll processing and benefits administration.
• Experience handling HR operations and compliance in a multi‑country environment.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Effective communication skills to support employees and managers.
