Human Resources Officer

About the role

The Human Resources Officer will deliver efficient, employee‑focused HR services for a luxury resort in Mauritius. You will support the full employee lifecycle, from recruitment to separation, ensuring compliance with policies and Mauritian labour legislation.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day HR administration, maintain accurate employee records and HR systems.
• Coordinate recruitment activities, conduct interviews, and oversee onboarding and induction programmes.
• Act as first point of contact for employee relations, handling grievances, disciplinary matters and investigations.
• Monitor attendance, leave, and absenteeism, preparing regular HR reports and statistics.
• Support performance management cycles, including probation reviews, performance appraisals and development plans.
• Coordinate training initiatives, maintain training records and assist with employee development programmes.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or Hospitality Management.
• Minimum 2 years of HR experience in the hotel or luxury hospitality sector.
• Strong organisational, time‑management and confidentiality skills.
• Fluent in English and French with excellent communication abilities.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Mauritius Labour Law and HR compliance.
• Proficiency in HR administration and employee‑lifecycle processes.
• Experience with payroll, attendance and leave management.
• Competence in using HR information systems and data analytics.
