Laundry Supervisor

About the role

We are looking for a Laundry Supervisor to lead the laundry department at Constance Prince Maurice, a 5‑star luxury resort on the northeast coast of Mauritius. The successful candidate will ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, efficiency and guest satisfaction while managing a diverse team of laundry staff.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all laundry activities, including washing, drying, pressing, folding and delivery of linens, uniforms and guest laundry.
• Maintain quality control and uphold high standards of presentation and hygiene.
• Train, coach and schedule the laundry team, ensuring compliance with standard operating procedures.
• Manage linen and cleaning‑supply inventory, coordinate ordering and stock rotation.
• Monitor equipment performance, report faults and oversee routine maintenance.
• Implement cost‑control measures to reduce waste, optimise productivity and manage utility consumption.
• Collaborate with Housekeeping, Engineering and Front Office to support seamless guest service.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in the laundry department of a 5‑star luxury hotel or resort.
• Strong technical knowledge of laundry operations, textile care and equipment handling.
• Excellent leadership, communication and organisational abilities.
• Detail‑oriented with a focus on quality and guest satisfaction.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage a diverse team.
• Proficiency in English and/or French; additional languages are a plus.
