Manager - Asset Manager Services (Fund Accounting)

About the role

Ocorian is hiring an Accounting Manager for its Asset Manager Services division in Moka, Mauritius. You will lead a team and oversee fund accounting services for a portfolio of Private Equity and Real Estate clients, supporting both client growth and team development. The role is hybrid, with 2 days in the office.

Key responsibilities

• Own a portfolio of Private Equity and Real Estate clients, delivering fund accounting services, financial statements, NAV calculations, capital calls, distributions and client reporting accurately and on time.
• Build relationships with clients, auditors and stakeholders, acting as a trusted point of contact and resolving issues effectively.
• Lead, mentor and develop a team of accounting professionals, manage workloads and review deliverables.
• Oversee the quality of accounting records, reconciliations, tax filings and statutory reporting, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, regulations and company policies.
• Drive operational excellence through planning, resource management, process improvements and automation of fund accounting processes.
• Monitor client profitability, billing, timesheets and service delivery metrics.
• Identify and manage risks, maintain strong controls and governance, and strengthen client relationships to open up additional services.

Required profile

• Fully qualified ACCA or ACA.
• Minimum 7 years' post-qualification experience in fund accounting, accounting, audit or financial services, ideally with global exposure.
• Proven leadership experience managing and developing teams in a fund accounting environment.
• Commercially minded, with strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Required skills

• Expertise in Private Equity and Real Estate fund accounting, including fund reporting, NAV production, waterfall calculations and IFRS reporting.
• Experience in fund administration is advantageous.
• Hands-on experience with eFront, Paxus and advanced Excel; experience with Value Financials is beneficial.
