Real Estate Accounting Manager (Fund)

About the role

Ocorian is hiring a Manager, Accounting (Private Equity and Real Estate) for its Asset Manager Services division. You will lead the delivery of high-quality accounting and fund accounting services across a portfolio of clients, overseeing a team of accounting professionals and acting as a key escalation point for client matters. The role is hybrid.

Key responsibilities

• Own a portfolio of Private Equity and Real Estate clients, manage expectations and provide proactive support.
• Oversee NAV calculations, capital calls, distributions, financial statements, management accounts, tax returns and other accounting deliverables.
• Work with clients, auditors, administrators and internal teams to coordinate deliverables.
• Lead and coach a team of accountants, manage priorities and workloads, and promote process automation and technology.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements and Ocorian policies, and escalate client and operational issues.
• Support fee management, accurate billing and opportunities to expand client services.

Required profile

• ACCA/ACA fully qualified.
• At least 7 years' post-qualification experience.
• Proven people management and supervisory experience, including at least 3 years at management level.
• Finance industry and/or accounting and auditing experience with exposure to global businesses.

Required skills

• PE and RE fund accounting and reporting, waterfall calculations and IFRS (fund accounting is a must).
• Strong knowledge of fund accounting software such as PAXUS and EFRONT, and advanced Excel.
