Patrol Boat Operator

About the role

Amentum is seeking a Patrol Boat Operator to support a US Navy program on Diego Garcia. The role involves safely operating patrol boats, conducting surveillance, and performing rescue missions in accordance with Navy standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate patrol boats to verify that all watercraft are operational and accounted for.
• Conduct regular patrols, monitor personnel aboard vessels, and detect unauthorized activity.
• Record and log verifications, personnel counts, and incidents per NAVSUPPFACDGINST 3130.3 series.
• Initiate and coordinate rescue operations following Navy protocols.
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance of boat equipment.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of experience operating small boats in patrol, security, or rescue roles.
• Physical fitness to manage emergency or rescue operations on water.
• Ability to pass contract medical, swimming, and fitness requirements.
