Payroll Specialist

About the role

The Payroll Specialist will manage end‑to‑end payroll processing for a portfolio of over 40 clients, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of payroll services in line with UK regulations and internal standards.

Key responsibilities

• Process payroll data from start to finish for a large client portfolio.
• Manage payroll service delivery expectations and adhere to established process flows.
• Prepare payment transfers, partner statements, and handle post‑payroll checks.
• Liaise with pension providers for auto‑enrolment processes.
• Maintain regular UK communication, status updates, and meet payroll calendar deadlines.
• Ensure HMRC filing and payment deadlines are met.
• Perform initial reconciliation of client monies and daily bank reconciliations.
• Provide ad‑hoc support to team members and cover payrolls during absences.
• Stay up‑to‑date with technical developments and disseminate relevant information to the team.
