Pool & Beach Server

About the role

Four Seasons Mauritius is hiring an entry-level Pool & Beach Server for its Food & Beverage department. The resort sits on the east coast of Mauritius, near a lagoon, and offers 90 one-bedroom villas, 45 residential villas, five dining venues, a spa, two tennis courts and a fitness centre.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare mise-en-place, set up and clear tables, and maintain high standards of hygiene and orderliness
• Provide genuine hospitality, act as host/hostess in the work area and promote hotel services and products
• Take orders, serve food and beverages to guests according to hotel standards, and keep up with hotel events
• Anticipate guest needs, offer suggestions and follow up on guest concerns to ensure satisfaction
• Describe menu items clearly, help compile guest histories and requisition supplies according to procedure
• Post guest checks accurately, process payments and follow control procedures
• Follow the hotel's code of conduct, grooming and hygiene standards, and assist colleagues during busy periods

Required profile

• 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in 5-star hotels/resorts or reputable standalone restaurants
• Excellent English, maths and psychometric abilities
• Aptitude and upward mobility
• Technical education in Hospitality Management preferred
• Basic wine knowledge preferred
