Product Control Lead

About the role

The Product Control Lead is responsible for independent financial oversight of the bank’s treasury positions, valuations, income, profitability and related reporting, ensuring accuracy, integrity and transparency.

Key responsibilities

• Lead Product Control and validate treasury positions, valuations, income and P&L, investigating material variances.
• Develop and maintain product profitability frameworks and perform revenue, margin and profitability analysis.
• Prepare product performance dashboards and management reports.
• Manage independent price verification, valuation tolerances, escalation procedures and validation logs.
• Oversee treasury balance‑sheet substantiation and front‑to‑back reconciliations, ensuring breaks are resolved.
• Maintain product accounting, revenue recognition and control procedures, including maker‑checker checks.
• Report P&L, valuation adjustments, control exceptions and emerging risks to senior finance leadership.
• Improve reporting through automation and data analytics, and challenge Treasury on controls.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, mathematics, statistics or related discipline.
• Professional qualification such as ACCA, ACA, CFA, CPA, FRM is advantageous.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Product Control, Treasury Finance, Financial Control, FP&A or Banking Finance.
• Strong understanding of banking products, treasury activities and profitability analysis.
