Relationship Executive – Business Banking

About the role

The Business Banking unit is seeking a Relationship Executive to manage and grow a portfolio of micro and small business clients. You will provide tailored financial solutions, promote digital adoption, and help customers achieve entrepreneurial success while meeting assigned targets.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with micro and small business clients, understanding their needs and delivering appropriate financial solutions.
• Design and execute customer engagement plans, including regular interactions, campaigns, and contact strategies.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for client queries and complaints, ensuring timely resolution and high satisfaction.
• Promote and sell banking products aligned with client objectives to increase revenue and share of wallet.
• Conduct initial assessments of financing requests and business proposals within risk frameworks.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and risk standards, including KYC and periodic reviews.
• Identify new business opportunities by analysing client portfolios and market prospects.

Required profile

• Degree in Finance, Management, Business Management, Marketing or related field with at least 2 years SME banking experience, OR a diploma with at least 3 years experience.
• Strong decision‑making ability and customer‑centric mindset.
• Good understanding of key financial indicators and ability to interpret them.
• Effective communication and relationship‑building skills, both internally and externally.
• Ability to plan, prioritize and meet organisational goals.
