Rental Officer

About the role

La Casa Properties Mauritius offers a full-time, on-site Rental Officer position in Mauritius. The officer manages rental properties and supports clients through the leasing process, working within a company that guides customers through the property search and transaction and uses an in-house marketing team to promote listings.

Key responsibilities

• Handle inquiries from prospective tenants and schedule and conduct property viewings
• Provide detailed information on rental terms and conditions
• Prepare and process lease agreements and ensure required documentation is complete
• Coordinate move-in and move-out procedures
• Maintain accurate records and update property listings with the marketing team
• Monitor rental payments and liaise with landlords and tenants to resolve issues promptly and professionally

Required profile

• Strong customer service and client relationship skills
• Effective communication and negotiation, with confident verbal and written English and French; other languages are an advantage
• Organizational and administrative skills, including managing documentation and multiple inquiries at once
• Basic knowledge of real estate or property management, including rental agreements and local regulations in Mauritius
• Comfort with digital tools and property listing platforms
• Ability to work on-site, travel to properties as needed, and present professionally to clients
• Previous experience in real estate, property rentals or a similar customer-facing role is preferred; a relevant diploma or degree is beneficial
